BitcoinLatina Foundation Commits One Million BCL Coins to Topia Technology
Topia’s Secrata provides secure point-to-point storage and data transfer, essential to the widespread adoption of blockchain applications by enterprise, government and military clients.
Tacoma, WA – Thursday, February 8, 2018 – Topia Technology announced today a commitment from BitcoinLatina Foundation (BitcoinLatina.org) to promote Secrata to its Latin American clients. This partnership will improve BitcoinLatina’s ability to deliver secure decentralized systems for sharing digitally-stored assets.
Today’s blockchain-based data sharing solutions provide data security through obfuscation and limited encryption. Data is broken into pieces that are stored across a peer-to-peer network of computers. Only the owner of a private key can bring all of the pieces together into a single useable piece. The point of failure then is not so much in the storage but when the data is in transit. Topia Technology is combining its patented security for shredding and encrypting data with the power and transparency of blockchain to enable secure sharing of digital assets between individuals and businesses while providing secured key distribution and management. This allows our platform to provide data security both in transit and at rest while using the blockchain to securely and confidently perform key exchanges and store auditing information. Individuals and businesses will easily and securely be able share any digital asset without a central server and with the confidence that each transaction is performed in a manner agreed upon by the members of the blockchain.
“We are committed to working with the blockchain community to advance data security,” said Janine Terrano, Topia Technology CEO. “We are excited to partner with an existing customer, BitcoinLatina Foundation, to bring greater data transfer & storage security to decentralized systems. This partnership represents a giant step forward in enabling consumers and enterprises to use the resources on the internet without going through a central authority.”
Topia Technology is leveraging Secrata, its existing data security technology that provides end-to-end encryption from and to any device and combining it with a new network that will support multiple applications that are decentralized. Instead of routing everything through a cloud provider, TopiaCoin’s new network will support collectives, or micro-networks that can be defined by the users, and the data won’t ever be accessible by anyone other than those in the network. This will enable consumers, companies and government agencies to securely share information with only the individuals and organizations they choose.
“BitcoinLatina understands the critical need to provide end-to-end safe data transfer and storage to our community and our clients,” said John Gotts, Founder and CEO of BitcoinLatina. “Whether individuals, enterprises, academic institutions and governments in Latin America we will always do everything in our power to make sure that our client’s data is safe and that they can move it from point-to-point with confidence that it will not be corrupted, stolen or lost. We are always eager to work with reputable, ethical companies in the blockchain space and believe that Janine and the team at Topia Technology, with nearly two decades of experience working with different branches of the US military, are partners we can trust.
BitcoinLatina Foundation’s mission is to promote trust, use and adoption of BitcoinLatina Latin American blockchain amongst businesses, governments, universities and consumers in Latin America. BitcoinLatina uses Topia Technology’s Secrata to bring data security to mobile devices, big data and cloud workloads.
Topia’s Initial Coin Offering, for accredited investors only, is scheduled for April 2nd, 2018. Topia is currently in a private pre-sale and will announce funds received prior to the offering date.
